Five months ago, we brought out our wide release of the Vault. Today, we’re excited to announce a new enhancement to our Vault feature. Now, to further optimize your experience with Vault, both our IT Glue and MyGlue Chrome Extensions support the passphrase expiry duration you configure in the web applications.

How does this work?

The Vault uses host-proof hosting allowing you to encrypt and decrypt passwords exclusively on your device with a user-specific passphrase. This gives you more control over your most sensitive password records. This passphrase is required, by default, each and every time a user wants to access or update passwords inside the Vault as well as store or remove passwords from it.

Administrators have the option to change that default duration in the Account Settings > Vault tab. Using the hour and minute pickers, administrators can set a custom expiry duration dictating how long a user's local browser will retain the user-specific passphrase until it is required again. Now, this custom duration will apply in both the IT Glue and MyGlue Chrome Extensions in addition to the web applications.
