Working with dates and times

IT Glue follows the internationally recognized ISO Date and Time format: ISO 8601 to standardize the date and time representation on the platform. ISO Date and Time format is the best representation as it is accurate and universally understandable.

As IT Glue integrates with other software and computer systems, which also rely on the same standard, it is imperative we follow the same standard.

ISO 8601 sets out an internationally agreed way to represent dates and times below:

  • YYYY-MM-DD
    • For example, May 12, 2012 is represented as 2012-05-12.
    • Dates will generally be displayed in this format throughout your account.
  • HH:MM:SS
    • For example, 8:15am is represented as 08:15:00.
    • Time will generally be displayed in this format throughout your account.

Note: There are a few instances in the platform where dates and time are displayed in human-readable format. Examples include:

  • Activity Logs
